How to use your Two way Zip

When wearing your EQUIDRY for riding, you must ensure your side zips are fully open and your main front zip is open from the bottom to naval height when mounting and dismounting. Also ensure you open the zipper when you sit or bend down to avoid causing pressure on the zip. If this is the first time you are using this kind of zipper, please have a look at our guide. Practice a couple of times and you will soon get the hang of it, for a smooth closing.

Step 1.

Place both zip sliders at the bottom of the zip.

Step 2.

Insert the free zip edge in to the very bottom slider.

Step 3.

Make sure it’s completely inserted, sitting firmly in the slider. You should feel a soft click when its in place.

Step 4.

Pull up the top slider to close the zipper.

Step 5.

Pull the bottom slider up when needed for mounting/riding etc

ZIP MAINTENANCE

Washing and Reproofing

Waterproof clothing can lose its water repellency as dirt and oil break down the durable water-repellant coating. If you notice that the fabric of your jacket is absorbing rather than repelling water, it means you'll have to reproof it.

To get the best out of your EQUIDRY product we recommend when washing it you use Nikwax Tech wash to remove the dirt and follow the washing instructions below. Once washed you will need to apply a reproofing product such as Fabsil spray on reproof.

It is vital, after washing you give your garment time to fully dry in a warm, well ventilated room.

Run your washing machine on a hot cycle with nothing in it and check that the detergent tray is clean. This gets rid of any detergent left from previous washes, which work against your garment's waterproofing.

Keeping your coat waterproof

Storing your EQUIDRY

Fully machine washable

Fully machine washable up to 30 degrees but we recommend to preserve its waterproof properties that you avoid washing it too often. Never use biological washing powder/liquid or fabric softener/conditioner.

Mud friendly

When needs be just give it a wipe down (or even a hose down) with a damp cloth. We all function better with a bit of mud on us so don’t be too precious.

Avoid direct heat & Sunlight

Don’t dry clean, hot wash, tumble dry or place your EQUIDRY on/above a direct heat source.

Reproofing

Waterproof clothing and can lose their water repellency as dirt and oil break down the durable water-repellant coating. If you notice that the fabric of your jacket is absorbing rather than beading / repelling water, it means you'll have to reproof it.
